MainGear ( Dell) P151EM1 Dc Jack Replacement | Repair
This was a Drop off repair, the customer had issues with his charger shutting off and the keyboard was not working.
After taking the Whole Gaming Rig apart I found that the main Center Pin to the Circuit board was was cold solder burnt
meaning that the main 19 volt center pin was not 100% connected creating a arc type of connection, so i de-soldered the old dc power
jack as it was loose and worn out, I installed a new DC Jack and also ran a Separate wire from the Back of the DC Power Jack to the main
fuse so there will never be an issue of power not getting to the motherboard! I also cleaned the entire unit and used chemwash to clean the keyboard
as the CRTL key was not working, now this laptop charges to 100% and the charger does not shut off anymore!
